Ion Turntable
If you are having problems with the Ion
Turntable exporting MP3 files please download the file (right click on the
link below and then click "save target as:") - make sure to put the file in a
place that you can find it later (i.e. desktop, my documents, etc...):
lame_enc.dll
Now follow these simple directions to install
the "lame_enc.dll" file:
1)
Open the
Audacity software
2)
Push the record
button (red circle) (it does not matter if there is anything to record – we
will be deleting this file later.)
3)
After several
seconds (2 to 3) push the stop button (yellow square)
4)
Click File
5)
Click Export as
MP3
6)
A new box will
open up called “Save MP3 File As:”
7)
In the white
box next to “File name:” type in: TEST
8)
Click Save
9)
A new box will
open up called “Export MP3”
10)
Click Yes
11)
A new box will
open up called “Where is lame_enc.dll?”
12)
Navigate to
where you saved the lame_enc.dll file (included in this e-mail) (i.e. desktop,
my documents, etc…)
13)
Click on the
file named lame_enc.dll
14)
Click Open
15)
A new box will
open called “Edit the ID3 tags for the MP3 file”
16)
Click OK
17)
Click File
18)
Click Export as
MP3
19)
A new box will
open up called “Save MP3 File As:”
20)
RIGHT CLICK on
the file named TEST or TEST.mp3
21)
Click delete
22)
A new box will
open called “Confirm File Delete”
23)
Click Yes
24)
Click Cancel
25)
Click File
26)
Click Exit
27)
A new box will
open up called “Save changes?”
28)
Click No
