Nana Korolev was born in communist Russia where
life was a constant struggle. Her father deserted the family when Nana was only
5 years old and her mother became the sole support for Nana and her two
brothers.
She learned to swim at an early
age and soon became a competitive swimmer and traveled from city to city for
competitions. Her family moved to Moscow and then to Leningrad where she
attended the University of Culture.
When President Gorbachev opened
the door for all Russians to see the world, Nana left an abusive early marriage
and emigrated to Canada with an 8-year-old son and $11.00 in her purse. Again,
life was not easy, but Nana quickly found work washing floors, cooking for
people, and babysitting. When she had learned enough English she received her
immigration papers and began selling real estate with the help of a friend. She
was slowly putting her life back in order in her new country.

Today Nana is the founder of her
own business and is the proud mother of two children, a son and a daughter..
After the birth of her daughter, her hair began falling out and she was very
concerned. Then she remembered the “old country” cures she had used when her
hair was damaged from chemicals used in swimming pools when she was a
competitive swimmer in Russia. While traveling from city to city she had
gathered local folk recipes for treating and revitalizing damaged hair and the
recipes all used only the natural ingredients which were available off the
land. She recalled that she was able to “cure” her hair, but little did she
know that years later she would develop products that would help others restore
their hair as well!

Nana had first used the mask in Russia to treat her own damaged hair and
