MOTHER-DAUGHTER TEAM CREATES FASHION TREND THAT “TAKES OFF”!
 

While seeking ways to earn a little cash for a family vacation, a mother-daughter team near Seattle, Washington, came up with a great idea.  They created their one-of-a-kind fashion belt using an authentic airline seatbelt buckle and interchangeable belts in several colors.  Jennifer Longley, a former flight attendant, and her teenage daughter Catherine realized their idea could “take off” after Catherine received rave reviews from her peers when she wore her Skybelt to school.

They first started selling these clever belts to friends and then in airport gift shops and aviation museum gift shops.  They soon learned that travelers are always looking for unique gift ideas – and these eye-catching “authentic” airplane seatbelt buckles and brightly colored, fully adjustable belts certainly are unique!

Today the belts are a fun new fashion trend among fashion savvy teenagers and flight enthusiasts of all ages, including flight attendants and pilots.  (Even John Travolta has one!)
 

But Jennifer also felt it was important to teach her daughter the value of helping others less fortunate.  Seeking a charity to help children, the mother-daughter duo came across Miracle Flights for Kids, a non-profit organization that provides free air transportation for children in need of medical treatment.  They immediately decided that it was a perfect fit and a portion of every Skybelt purchase will go toward Miracle Flights for Kids.
