HELPING OTHERS TO
HELP THEMSELVES
FATHER INVENTS “THE
WALK-O-LONG” TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE!

Jeff Zinger was recovering from back surgery just about
the time that his 10-month-old daughter was learning to walk and climb
stairs. He became frustrated when he couldn’t do what dads were supposed
to do – help teach his daughter to safely learn the basics. His back pain
was so acute that he couldn’t bend down to pick her up or even hold her
little hand to support her.
Following an unsuccessful search for something safe,
secure and easy to use to help him to help his daughter, Jeff took action.
He decided to invent something that would solve this problem, not only for
himself, but to help parents everywhere! He felt that all parents deserve
the peace of mind of having their children safe, right where they belong,
comfortably, securely at their side anywhere, at home, in malls, parking
lots, or picnics in the park.

After more than a year of intensive research,
development and practical testing, The
Walk-O-Long was ready to meet the world and become every parent’s “new
best friend.” It’s easy to use – just wrap the
Walk-O-Long around your child’s chest and under the arms, then adjust it
to the perfect fit and secure the single-latch safety buckle in the back.
And now Jeff was able to keep up with his daughter, helping her to climb
stairs, walk onto escalators, step up on curbs, walk along a stream, and she
was even learning to ice skate! |

Jeff feels that the
Walk-O-Long can truly help anyone who wants to give their child the edge
in developing balance, confidence and coordination. Parents can now help
minimize the “bumps, bruises, and tears” usually associated with teaching
kids to roller-skate, ice skate, or even ride a bike. With Walk-O-Long, you
can keep the kids in tow, save your back and prevent nursemaid’s elbow, a
condition that can occur in small children when they are pulled too hard by
the hand or wrist. It has also been used with great success by physical
therapists, hockey and skating coaches, and parents of special-needs
children.
